Kaylee-Bug Quirks

My sister Jenetta posted about her little girl's personality quirks, and I loved the idea so I am following her lead with a post of my own. Kaylee is full of personality thanks mostly to her daddy....he is a personality quirk all by himself!

• Kaylee LOVES the kitty. She understands (or at least recognizes) the phrase "where's the kitty?" and will look around on the ground and couches for Turtle. She has a certain noise she makes when she randomly sees Turtle too. It is a little "uh" noise, that she only makes when she sees the kitty.
• Speaking of noises, Kaylee is adorable when she is eating her solid foods and wants more. If you have seen "Monster's Inc." when they are tossing cereal into Boo's mouth and she tilts her head back and says "Ah" for more, Kaylee does that! She hasn't quite gotten the head tilt, but the "Ah" is almost exactly the same!
• Sometimes when she is tired she will lean really far over in my lap and rest her head on my forearm. Then the opens and closes her had on my arm over and over. It melts my heart Every. Single. Time.
• Kaylee likes to blow on my cheek. I don't know if this explanation will make sense, but I am going to try to get a video of it soon. She will give me a big open-mouth kiss on my cheek, but leave her mouth there and blow out, making her cheeks flap and make "farting nosies" (Sorry no other way to put that). Then if I vibrate my lips together, she will do it again, all the while leaving her mouth on my cheek. She makes little happy noises and does it over and over. It is really adorable!
• She thinks it is hilarious when I crawl down the hall towards her! I will let her follow me about half way down the hall, and then turn around and crawl back towards her. She squeals and giggles, and waits for me to get to her. When I do, I tickle her, and then crawl on past, turn around, and come back to her. I want to get a video of this too.
• Kaylee is fascinated by toes! She always wants to suck on mine, but unless they are fresh out of the shower, she doesn't get to.

And there you have the quirks of our little girl! I am sure I will think of more, so I may do a post like this every once in a while.

The Animals

I had my concerns about bringing a new baby into a house with two BIG dogs and a cat. I didn't admit them to many people because I didn't want to hear all the advice and especially didn't want to hear people tell me to get rid of my furbabies. That just wasn't an option.

Well, I had NOTHING to worry about!

First Horse Ride!

Kaylee got to ride her first horse today! Actually she just sat on her. It was so great!

I really hope that Kaylee learns to love horses. I will be fine with it if she doesn't, but I always wanted a little girl who I can teach to ride. And of course I am sure Robert, and her grandparents are dying to buy her a pony...or two!
