Bly is a great black and white female Border collie who is about a year and a half old. She is fast and petite and would be a natural at agility, herding or other dog sports. She loves to be trained and is catching on very quickly to clicker training. She is not a couch potato. She needs an active life with lots of training. Bly really wants to please her person and is very sensitive and listens very well. She gets along wonderfully with the dogs here. She has developed an amazing recall here. That will need to be worked on with a new person, but should be easily attained.

I think she is REALLY pretty, and I would have loved to take her home and see what kind of agility dog she could be. Sadly, we are at our dog limit, and I kind of told Robert I wouldn't ever get a Border Collie. I think that may change.
Sometimes Most of the time, I wish I loved cooking. I am not sure why I don't. I can follow a recipe, love to see people enjoy food I have made, and I love trying new foods because I am not super picky. But I still don't like to cook.
To be 100% honest, Robert cooks most of the time, and when he doesn't we order in or go out. We have been especially bad here in Oregon because we are not paying for our own food. I haven't cooked a new meal in months! I really want to 1)get back into the habit of cooking dinner every night and 2)hopefully discover a love of cooking. To do that, I am going to be cooking at least 1 new thing every week and posting about it here on the blog. My old recipes will probably be posted too as I re-learn how to make them. Did I mention it has been a long time? Who knows, I may love it enough that I will have to start a new blog for food! Lol, I doubt it, but I may end up with something to put on a separate page on my blog.
For my first recipe, I am actually cooking 2 things. It is for our ward's Halloween party tomorrow, and I am actually excited for it. I am making
Ghost Chili and Halloween Oreo Pumpkin Cheesecakes (sound fancy don't they?)
I am going to be getting most of my recipe's online from either The Pioneer Women's Blog or Tasty Kitchen or on Food.com. If you have a favorite place online where you find recipes feel free to suggest it! They can't be too difficult, because I get intimidated pretty easily when it comes to cooking.....for now.

Kaylee was OBSESSED with playing in the water dish on the porch for a good week or so
She would stand in it,
pose in it,
get herself stuck leaning over,
and just generally be adorable and make a huge mess. I had to put a stop to it after a few days though because she was constantly flooding the downstairs neighbor's porch.....and going through several pants a day.
Yes, we are starting to potty train. She had just gone both in her potty for the first time (minutes after we got it unpacked from the store) so I had to take a picture!

Halloween!! I really like parts of this holiday. The pumpkin carving is my favorite part, though after this year that might have changed. We did our carving for Family Home Evening on Monday night, and Kaylee was lucky enough to be up to help this year. Last year I don't think she was awake for any of it.
We covered the entire floor of the kitchen so that we could easily clean up if Kaylee made a mess.
She wanted to poke at the seeds with a carving tool for a little while
But she didn't appreciate it on her skin at all.

She really didn't want to touch any part of the pumpkins except the stem on the top. It was really pretty cute
You can see right at the start of the video she grabs my pumpkin and yanks her hand back. That was her reaction to the feel of the pumpkins.

Kaylee and I went to a little party with our mom and me group with ladies in the ward. Basically we went to the nursury room in the church and had pizza and cookies, cupcakes, and candy. All the little kids were dressed up and they looked adorable. Kaylee was a little bee, and she had a great time.
She was so adorable! I think she may have changed my favorite part of this holiday from pumpkin carving to costumes for my kids!
She basically only ate the popcorn and pretzels.....but I think she ate a little pumpkin cookie too.
She was really more interested in playing than in eating.
We have a ward party and Trunk or Treat on Saturday night and I am SO looking forward to it! I have to figure out some sort of costume for me and for Robert though.
