Our Rainbow

This was our late Christmas present! December 29th to be exact.

See that light line on the left? That says that I am PREGNANT again!!

"Rainbow Babies" are the understanding that the beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ravages of the storm. When a rainbow appears, it does not mean that the storm never happened or that the family is not still dealing with its aftermath. What it means is that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the darkness and the clouds. Storm clouds may still loom over but the rainbow provides a counterbalance of color, energy, and much needed hope."

We had been trying basically since Cadence was born, and were thrilled! I am due Sept 9, 2012, the exact same day (one year later) that I was due with Cadence. Crazy coincidence! I am so excited to be pregnant again! It has been rough so far. I have been sick basically since about 4 weeks. A lot of nausea, some throwing up, tired day in and day out, and no motivation to do anything.

So, here I am 10 weeks pregnant. Scared to death some days and incredibly happy and excited most of the others. I am overwhelmed to be pregnant again. I love pregnancy but back-to-back is turning out to be a bit much for me mentally, physically, and emotionally. This is going to sound silly, but one thing I am super overwhelmed about is that I will be pregnant again for the dog agility season. It sounds selfish, but I was looking forward to this season to have it be our best yet. Hobbs is in his prime, I was planning to get super fit and we were going to be awesome.....I guess that will have to wait for next year. Selfish, maybe, but that is how I feel.

I have the feeling this time that it is a girl. So, that means it's probably a boy lol! I thought both the girls were boys, and I will laugh my head off if this one ends up being a boy.

Robert and I decided this time to go to a birth center with a midwife rather than an OB at a hospital. We met with them a few weeks ago, and I went in today for my first appointment. I got to hear the little heartbeat for about 3 seconds. It was SOOO faint, but it was there! It was the best Valentine's Day present ever!

I will be updating throughout the pregnancy again, but I haven't decided how I want to do it yet. Probably the same way I did with Cadence with a little more written about how I am feeling about the pregnancy.

Finally some more agility!!

Hobbs and I finally made it back to agility today!! I have been feeling really sick for the past month, and we have barely gotten out of the house for walks some days let alone running around playing agility lol! But we have a trial coming up in just over a week so we needed to get back to practicing.

Today was another open practice at our local trial venue. I really love practicing there because it is building Hobbs confidence in a trial setting. He is also FINALLY starting to seem like he understands what is expected with his A-frame contact. The only reason I say that is because his speed on the obstacle has increased a ton, and he is hitting his contact most of the time. I haven't started running ahead of him or really doing anything other than going right beside him, but I have a feeling that will come soon. YAY!

Anyways, today's course seemed very similar to one we had a couple weeks ago. I am hoping that the one next week will be very different.

Our trial this next weekend is ASCA. We are still in novice and I think it will be fun to run some super easy courses. It will be a good start to our year. I am hoping it gets me excited for the agility season. I have been feeling kind of burnt out and un-enthusiastic about this year of agility, and I am not sure why. Hopefully that changes soon!
