Our girls are getting SO big! They each had their half birthdays in the past couple months, and things are pretty crazy.

Kaylee - is half way to turning 5!! Her preschool is in full swing, and she is learning a ton. She is able to ready little books already, and can tell us facts about science and nature and the body. While she really does enjoy school she has been having some major struggles there. As a parent, it’s something you never want to worry about. I want her to sail through life without any struggles. In reality, that just wont happen. I’m hoping that we can work through this with her, and she can settle in to loving and thriving at school. Some favorites:
* RED! This is her favorite color right now for sure.
* Anatomy. She is very interested in and fascinated with how the body works. She can tell you all about certain things like the blood veins and digestion systems.
* Space. She has a bit of an interest in space, stars, the sun, the moon, and flying to those places.
* Ice Cream!! Favorite food, hands down.
* Other favorite foods include German Pancakes, grilled cheese sandwiches, cucumbers, apples, Jimmy Johns, quesadillas, watermelon, and most other fruits and vegetables.

Kaylee doing a “work” at school

Courtney – This girl is a wild woman. It is rare that she cries when she falls or bumps something. She has no fear when at the playground which is a little terrifying. She will follow Kaylee to the top and fly down the slide right after her. The bar ladders are really a challenge for her because she wants so badly to climb them, but she just doesn’t have the coordination or strength (or height in most instances) to do so. On the other side of her personality is a cuddly, soft hearted, gentle soul with an amazing sense of humor.

Alexis – What a personality this little one has. She is much more complicated, emotionally, than Courtney. Her confidence in herself is steadily growing, and she is becoming more independent. She has earned the nickname “Serious George” because her gait while walking fast reminds us of a monkey or chimp and she is just so serious sometimes!! She can be very clingy at times, and has made me very welcome for babywearing. That being said, she has actually not wanted to be up very much lately, which has been great for Courtney to get some wearing time (which she has loved).

The girls are both getting their canine teeth, and it’s not the greatest time in their lives. Alexis has almost 3 through, but poor Courtney doesn’t have any yet.
Having these three girls in our lives is something we will forever be grateful for. There are moments when I physically ache because I love them so much. They are such beautiful and special spirits, and I am blessed to be their mom. I can’t wait to see what they grow up to be.
