Pictures of the babies

Why didn't I get newborn pictures done of Kaylee?? Our NILMDTS photographer, who is now a good friend, offered to take pictures of Courtney and Alexis and they were so much fun! Afterward I seriously considered paying to get more newborn pictures taken. I got the pictures a while ago, but like everything else, posting them got pushed to the back burner. Now that I have my husband back for a couple days I can finally  post a few of my favorites.

These hats were so incredibly adorable!

I think this is my  favorite of all of them

Oops! I guess they are opposite in these ones

We got a great picture of Kaylee holding her sisters too. She loved being able to hold both at the same time

Catching Up

I have been really slacking on the blogging this month. I blame it on my hubby being out of state for work most of this month. Being a single mom of twins and a toddler doesn't leave much time for sleep let alone blogging.

This month has been wonderful and has gone by so quickly it's crazy. We didn't get out of the house for much, but the weekends that Robert was here we tried to do fun things. I love the cooler fall  weather we have been having!

A couple weekends ago we went to a corn maze (it was a haybale maze) at a local historical farm. I thought it was going to be longer and more fun than it was. It took us all of 5 minutes to get through the whole thing. Then we went on a hay ride in a wagon with no hay pulled by a tractor......not exactly awesome. Next year I want to go to an actual corn maze because I think Kaylee would have a lot more fun.

Waiting for tickets to go into the maze

She was pretty wary of this blow-up cat because the head moved back and forth. When we finally convinced her to touch it she was fine, but still kept an eye on it when it moved.

I can't believe how much she has grown since last year!

One of the few pictures I am in with her. I need to try to get in front of the camera more. I am carrying Alexis, and Robert had Courtney in our other carrier.

After the maze and before the hay right we wandered around the farm a bit to let Kaylee have some fun. She climbed up on this old wagon, and just sat on the bench waiting patiently. I don't know what she was waiting for, but she just sat there for a while.

The sun was super bright

Kaylee and me again.

Sitting on the wagon behind the tractor. The hay ride went really quickly, and we weren't supposed to stand up so Kaylee missed a good portion on the decorations in the woods we drove through. It frustrated her a bit, but she still had fun.

Kaylee took these herself with Robert's forward-facing phone camera

She loved this big tractor! I think she would LOVE living on a farm. She could spend the whole day at this place and never get bored.

Of all the animals, these little baby cows were the best. The sign on their pen was really funny too.

I loved the little dark one in the back.

We went over to see the little dark one, who was very friendly. It was licking Kaylee's hand, and she put her face close to its face and I thought for a second it was going to lick her, but it suddenly "Moo'd" right in her face! I think the cow was only about an inch from her face when it Moo'd. Kaylee laughed and had to show off what happened.

Her "Mooo" face

All in all, our trip to the farm was great! Next year we will go to an actual corn maze and I think Kaylee will love it.

Part of the reason this blog has been neglected is that Robert has been out of state working for the past few weeks. He gets to come home on the weekends, but for the most part I am on my own. My mom has come up to help and I went down to their house for a week. While we were down there, Kaylee got to go to a church Halloween party. We hurried to put together a little Indian costume and it was adorable. She loved being an Indian.

The party was kind of chaotic (too many children in too little of space) but I think she still had fun. The children went around to different stations playing games and getting candy.

I don't remember what this first game was, but you can see by her face that she is pretty lost.

Next was a candy toss, and Kaylee really enjoyed this one.

She got to go WAY closer than the bigger kids so that she could actually get the candy in the little bags.

I think she was watching the cake walk people and dancing a little to the music lol.

Next was a cake walk and Kaylee really didn't understand this one. I think the music was too quiet for her to really focus on when it started and stopped.

Or it could have been that she was too busy eating her smarties from the candy toss!

This one was really fun, but there were several groups that were trying to start this at the same time. The idea was to guide a little pumpkin around the big pumpkins using a broom. Pretty tough for a 3 year old, but she did a great job!

Next up was the fish pond

This boy was kind enough to help her get the fishing pole in the right place to get a prize

Waiting in line for a second go at the fish pond

Waiting not so patiently

Standing on tip-toe to fish by herself

The last activity was having a cookie decorated for her. She got to choose the color of icing and the sprinkles. The cookie didn't taste too bad either!

I love this little girl!! I was so glad to be able to take her to this party and leave the babies home sleeping. Don't worry, they weren't home alone.

There are several more posts to come, and once I am caught up I am hoping it will be easier to stay up to date on here.
